When you think about Chardonnay producing regions in Australia, the Barossa and Eden Valleys aren't generally foremost in the mind. Having said that, Bethany have produced a good example which shows what that area can do with the grape. Tangy and focused, this wine is firmly in its drinking window now but has a few years left up its sleeve not to mention a few surprises on the palate. Let it breath a little after opening and don't serve it too chilled. -JP
