Purple Palate

The 2004 vintage will go down as one of the Barossa's best in recent times. The better wines from that vintage will repay some time in the cellar. The Shiraz produced by Bethany that year is eminently enjoyable now but it improved on the second day of tasting, suggesting a bright future ahead. Currently the integration is excellent and lovely primary fruit flavours are still on full display. -JP
