Purple Palate

This one’s a comfy offering, ready to drink now although it will cellar well enough over the mid-term. Vivid, fresh red fruits (berry mostly but morphs into cherry at certain points) overlie a darker, sturdier base of blackberry. A dusting of chocolate and coffee grounds covers the fruit flavours and there’s a nice sprinkle of spice. Some unshelled peanuts too! A slinky entry gains definition as the wine moves through its line. A quality example of Canberra Shiraz at a great price. - JP
