Purple Palate

Some wines are complex, serious and cerebral. Their beauty can lie in the way they challenge your palate to broaden its horizons, or invite quite contemplation of subtle nuances of flavour. Then there are wines like the 2007 Dog Ridge The Pup Shiraz. Sweet blueberries & blackberries are highlighted by lifted red fruits and made even more enjoyable by the vanillin traits imparted by judicous use of oak. A sprinkling of spice completes a wine that just begs you to have another glass. It's well made, eminently enjoyable and thoroughly delicious.
