Purple Palate

The Flying Mouton (aka The Flying Sheep) was named due to the local cloud formations that resembled exactly that. From Hawkes Bay in New Zealand this newly released Single Estate Vineyard wine offers an approachable easy drinking style with some quality and surprisingly fresh red berry fruit characters. There are some wonderful subtle oak characters and some hints of Mocha that follow through along the palate. A good drink now proposition that will improve over the medium term. -CE
