Purple Palate

Goaty Hill is a classic example of elegant, savoury, spicy, Pinot Noir such as only the super-cool Tasmanian climate can produce. Its warm, herbal, aromatic style has a distinctly wintry air, with notes of dried petals, baked apples and cinnamon. The 2010 is Finely structured, with sweet berries, tangy cranberry and an enticingly complex, bitter finish. It's a particularly approachable wine in its immediate youth, but promises to reveal its delicate folds over the coming years. -NT.
