Purple Palate

The follow up to the hugely successful 2006 release is sourced entirely from the Barossa and it's a ripper. Sweet with savoury nuances, generous but structured with wonderfully fine, dissolving tannins. The mouth feel is completely seductive. Pretty red fruits on entry, with some maraschino cherry elements, the palate takes on some serious depth with the addition of cranberries, melted chocolate, cinammon and pepper. Darker fruits roll out on the back palate along with salted black liquorice twists. Clean, sleek and seductive, this wine will win over the hedonist and the thinker alike. -JP
