Purple Palate

I tend to prefer Pinots at the larger end of the spectrum, particularly those from Central Otago. This is lighter, but I was blown away by its power. Enticing berry fruit aromas mix with fragrant spices on the nose, leading to luscious sweet cherry and savoury flavours - which go on and on and on. You don’t need to know that this won an Elite Gold at the Air New Zealand Wine Awards to appreciate its class. - JL
