Kurtz Family Vineyards Boundary Row Shiraz 2006

  • Region Barossa Valley, SA
  • Type Red
  • Size 750ml
  • Alcohol 14.5%
This medium to full-bodied shiraz is drinking very well now but will definitely improve over a year or two. This is a great example of a Barossan Shiraz at an affordable price, with a generous blackberry and vanilla cola bouquet. Aged for 22 months in new French and American oak, it has a seamless palate with impressive finish and length. - CH

James Halliday
 says:

A generous bouquet offers spice, black fruits and vanilla, the medium- to full-bodied palate no less generous, with a deep and seamless line of blackberry and spice fruit, oak providing the chorus line.

Jay Miller, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, February 2009
 says:

The opaque purple coloured 2006 Boundary Row Shiraz was aged for 22 months in 25% new French and American oak hogsheads. The attractive nose reveals cedar, pepper, fresh herbs, game, and blueberry. This leads to a medium to full-bodied wine with plenty of succulent black fruits, excellent depth, and a pure finish. Drink it from 2010 to 2018.
