Purple Palate

There seems to be great confusion in Australia about Pinot Gris and Pinot Grigio. Happily this excellent example of Gris has all the hallmarks of its cousins in Alsace. Old world talc minerality and more restrained floral notes remain the theme throughout the wine, which is supported nicely by mouth filling texture and subtle sweetness that completes the picture. This is the perfect wine for French styled butter sauces and the many fusion food styles that draw from them. -SG
