The Wigan is one of the great Eden Valley Rieslings, full of flavour and vibrancy! You know when you have a great Eden Valley Riesling when intense flavours of citrus (usually lime) tickle the back of your throat and fill your mouth with a lasting effigy. The 2004 Wigan is showing more lime than lemon, with a touch of toast instead of kerosene. It has a very complex nose and tight, youthful palate. The higher alcohol in this vintage will unsure less ageing potential, but if you like aged Riesling like I do then you can easily drink this in ten years! - MC
