Troy and Tony Kalleske create Pirathon each year from fruit sourced from low-yielding vineyards of traditional family growers in the north-western Barossa districts of Greenock, Moppa, Belvedere, Stonewell, Seppeltsfield, Koonunga and Ebenezer. From the brilliant 2009 vintage comes this opulent wine, delivering multi-layered flavours of blackberries, dark red fruit, plum, cassis and mocha. Balanced with subtle oak and stylish tannins. The wine was bottled without fining or filtration.
