Sourced from the Kayena Vineyard in West Tamar, this is the wine upon which Tamar Ridge's reputation has been made. The right weighting of Burgundy clones has been realised over a decade, culminating in an elegant, savoury and silky expression of modern Tasmanian Pinot. The 2009 vintage has been met with rapturous critical applause, hailing its mature, dark-fruited profile, integral structure, complexity and value. The oak (20% new) is played surely, bringing a spicy edge to a naturally energetic, long and smooth palate. -Ed.
