Wolf Blass Platinum Label Shiraz 2007

  • Region Barossa Valley, SA
  • Type Red
  • Size 750ml
  • Alcohol 15.5%
If wine were a religion, Wolf Blass would have found true Mecca in the vineyards where these grapes were grown. Purple-crimson with a super-rich and fragrant bouquet that covers a range of dark berries, mocha and coffee-infused spices. With a full-bodied palate, I found very well integrated tannins (this comes from barrel fermentation) and while the alcohol is evident, there's loads of flavour to back it up. - DJ

 says:

Purple-crimson; a super-rich and fragrant bouquet ranges across black berries, spice, mocha and (unexpectedly) fresh ground coffee, the opulent full-bodied palate echoing the aromas plus the usual integrated tannins from barrel fermentation; the alcohol is evident, but is the price to pay for such opulent fruit.
